Met Gala 2013

From instagram photos of the attendees, it was a real punk fest (the theme was punk). Everyone was covered in spikes and provocative outfits walking up the famous red carpet that goes up some flights of stairs. The Met Gala by the Costume Institute Gala was truly an awaited event. Every year, the Met Gala has a theme and everyone gets a chance to dress up in the most beautifully made dresses. If only I could play dress up like they do.

Anyway, as you all know, I'm not a very punk girl, but these were some of my favourites.
Snow whites.
Best dressed couples.
The Black Swans.
These not so punk, but beautiful dresses.

Erin Fetherston Pre-Fall 2013

Source: Pinterest
As you all know I'm a Pinterest addict, I'm not ashamed of it! I was just scrolling through and I came across Erin Fetherston's Pre-Fall collection. And I must say, fall usually is all about the neutral tones with all the autumn leaves falling off the trees. But this collection is all about colour! I am totally in love and want everything from this collection! It's feminine and the silhouettes and prints are subtle but not too over the top. Sadly, I have no idea how to get my hands on these since I'm currently in Malaysia.

And look at the flowers! I really love the fresh flowers in the background that let everything pop out from the screen. I mean who doesn't like flowers.

PS: I apologise for the lack of updates. And HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! (I wish I had these clothes for the New Year) and Happy Belated Valentine's Day! Hope everyone had an eventful holiday.

I know this is a way overdue post cause the SAG Awards happened last week, but I can't get over these beautiful people with their beautiful hair and makeup! I absolutely love Tina Fey's hair and makeup that screams old hollywood glam. Love the curls and the eye makeup with its subtle presence. And look at Marion Cottilard's dramatic smokey eye!

Golden Globes Red Carpet 2013

My top picks from the 2013 Golden Globes red carpet. But my absolute favourite from all these are Anne Hathaway, Olivia Munn and Emily Blunt. They just look absolutely stunning. Their hair and makeup complimented their dresses really well. Especially Anne Hathaway, love her short hair! Wish I could pull it off.

But the colour of the night was definitely Coral. Wether it's dark and deep, or faded. It was the chosen one!  And many wore black, including the hosts of the night, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
Anne Hathaway - Chanel. Heidi Klum - Alexandre Vauthier. Lea Michele - Elie Saab
Emily Blunt - Michael Kors. Nicole Richie - Naeem Khan. Olivia Munn - Giorgio Armani.
Rachel Weisz - Louis Vuitton. Kate Hudson - Alexander McQueen. Amy Poehler - Stella McCartney. Tina Fey - L'Wren Scott
Marion Cotillard - Dior. Jennifer Lawrence - Dior. Jessica Alba - Oscar de la Renta

Miss Vogue #4

Source: Miss Vogue
So many gorgeous girls on Australian Miss Vogue this time around. Those are my two favourite covers from the shoots. But the best outfit was worn by Jessica Stein of Tuula Vintage. That Josh Goot flare skirt is amazing! If only I could have it in my closet. It flares so beautifully.

Bey Bey Beyoncé

If you're a fan of Beyoncé, you should already know by now that she has a tumblr with Jay-Z. I guess you could say it's more like a photo diary?

Grace Coddington

Grace Coddington is one of the movers and shakers of the fashion industry with her fiery red hair. She's Vogue's creative director and has been working at Vogue since 1988. Her passion for the art of fashion can be seen all over the pages of Vogue and it's evident in the documentary 'The September Issue'. I think people who are intrigued by the industry will enjoy watching this documentary. It really did open my eyes to the other side of the fashion world. The process and time put into building an issue.

I'll leave you with one of Grace's illustrations.

Sweet Revenge

I just only started watching Revenge and I am HOOKED! I can't stop! I don't want to leave my bed just cause of this show. That's how I'm spending my break so far, watching Revenge. And I must say, it's not a bad way to start.

Besides, look at the outfits they get to wear! But I especially love Ashley Madekwe's style on and off the camera. And I remember reading somewhere that she even helps style her own character! She definitely has a great eye for fashion. If you follow her blog, you'll know that she wears a lot of Topshop, which makes it so accessible! That's what I love about her style. Simple and accessible. Plus, she looks gorgeous in everything she wears. Here are some of the shots that I love the most of her.
